Coast and Valleys Vet Hospital offer Puppy Preschool for puppies between 8 - 16 weeks of age. These classes are run by our veterinary nurse Jade, and run on a Monday or Wednesday evening between 7pm -8pm, for four consecutive weeks.
During these classes Jade will help you learn effective reward based training techniques to turn your cheeky rambunctious puppy into a well socialised adult dog. You will learn how to give your puppy the best start in life, and topics that will be covered in the class include;
- Learning to interact well with other puppies and people
- Learning to focus on you despite what distractions may be going on around them
- Learning sit, drop, stay, come and lead walking
- We will also cover unwanted behaviours and how to overcome them, including mouthing, destructive behaviour and toilet training.
Classes are kept to a maximum of 6 puppies in order to make sure each puppy can get individual attention and any problem behaviours can be addressed. Children are welcome to attend and you should bring along with you a suitable lead and collar for your puppy along with their favourite treats from home.
All puppies must have had their first vaccination. For more information or to book your puppy in, please call us on 02 4355 4704.
