Our Veterinarians
Dr Brianna Smits
Veterinarian
Dr Smits joined the Coast and Valleys team in December 2016 after recently graduating from Sydney University. She enjoys livestock calls and emergency medicine, and in her time off can be found exploring the coast at the beach. She has a cat called Roger.
Dr Callie Paquette
Veterinarian
Callie grew up in Kansas surrounded by pets before moving to Australia to study at Sydney University. She joined Coast and Valleys in January 2021 and enjoys mixed practice, especially working with cats and small ruminants. Outside of work, Callie likes baking, jogging, and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Ophelia and Othello.
Dr Ebony Harris
Veterinarian
Ebony has been part of the Coast and Valleys team since 2021, after completing her studies at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. She enjoys the variety of animals and the diverse caseload that comes with working at Coast and Valleys Veterinary Hospital.
Outside of work, Ebony loves a good road trip and enjoys spending time with her partner Tom, as well as her friends, family, and her beloved dachshund daughters, Poppi and Rosie.
Dr Nicole Isacowitz
Veterinarian
Nicole grew up in Sydney and moved to Townsville to study Veterinary Science at James Cook University. She joined Coast and Valleys in 2025, focusing on surgery in mixed practice. Nicole is passionate about continuous learning. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the Central Coast, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her Bichon Frise, Ollie.

Jess McCarthy
Practice Manager
Jess joined Coast and Valleys in 2015 as a Vet Nurse student and became qualified while working. With a background in Livestock Science, she has furthered her education in Practice Management, Emergency Medicine, Clinical Pathology, and Anaesthesia. After a break in 2023, Jess returned as Practice Manager. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her horses, Smooch, Snoop, and Snippet, and her kelpie, Jazz.
Jade Slattery
Veterinary Nurse
Jade joined Coast and Valleys in 2018 as a vet nurse student while completing her Certificate IV. She has since specialized in diagnostic equipment and anaesthesia, with a keen interest in assisting equine patients. Outside of work, Jade enjoys riding her horse, surfing with family, and hiking with her dog, Sarge.

Bella Hamilton
Veterinary Nurse
Bella joined Coast and Valleys in 2021 and has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She loves working with rabbits, guinea pigs and has a soft spot for anything feathered. At home, she has three cockatiels and two budgies. Bella runs our Puppy Pre-School program and is currently studying pet nutrition to learn more about keeping your pets happy and healthy. When she’s not at work, she enjoys getting creative with arts and crafts

Georgia joined our team in 2023 as an animal attendant and has since completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Georgia has a special interest in emergency and critical patient care. She also takes pride in providing compassionate end-of-life care to our patients. Georgia coordinates our blood donor program, supporting our amazing donor pets to help provide a vital lifeline for patients in need.
Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending time travelling and camping along the coastline.
Kiera Bowcock
Animal Attendant
Kiera joined the team in January 2021 as an animal attendant and has since started her Certificate II in Animal Care.
She enjoys spending time with her dog and sheep at home on her father’s farm. This has given her an interest in working in an animal care facility. Kiera enjoys working with the vets and nurses in everyday clinic patient care.
